The Sítio da Nazare was the place where it all started.

It was here that the Legend of Nazare and D. Fuas Roupinho happen, which are at the origin of the formation of the village of Nazare itself.

That is also why in Sítio da Nazare most of the great heritage attractions of Nazaré are located, starting with the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré and the Capela da Memória, both with connections to Lenda and D. Fuas Roupinho.

You also have the centenary Coreto, which you can simply enjoy or enjoy the cultural activities that take place there.

You can also discover traces of the Muralha do Sítio, a building from the 18th century that had the function of trying to block the sands brought by the wind from reaching the urban cluster of Sítio da Nazare.

As if  was not enough, it is also an exceptional place due to the view that the Suberco Viewpoint overlooks Praia da Nazare, a beach that you can access by the Ascensor or Ladeira.

Also from Sítio da Nazare you can access the São Miguel Arcanjo fortress and Praia Norte, a beach whose giant waves produced by Canhão da Nazaré, the Hawaiian surfer Garrett McNamara put on the world surf map and which are in themselves an attraction.
